The transformation begins with a custom sectional, designed specifically for the room’s proportions. Anchoring the space, the sectional features dual chaises, creating an inviting layout that encourages lounging, conversation, and family movie nights without sacrificing clean lines. Its tailored silhouette balances comfort with modern restraint, grounding the room in soft texture against the home’s bold architectural upgrades.
At the heart of the space, the fireplace was completely redefined. Clad in white porcelain stone, the new tile introduces subtle movement and a crisp contrast to the surrounding finishes. The material choice elevates the fireplace from functional feature to sculptural focal point—bright, timeless, and distinctly farmhouse-modern.
Above, custom ceiling beams add warmth and dimension, drawing the eye upward and giving the room a sense of craftsmanship and permanence. This architectural detailing is echoed along the walls, where custom wall molding frames the space with classic farmhouse character, updated with clean, modern proportions.
One entire wall was transformed into a dramatic design moment: a custom cabinetry wall finished in rich black paint. The cabinetry provides concealed storage while maintaining a sleek, built-in aesthetic. Floating shelves soften the composition, offering space for curated décor and personal objects. To balance the depth of the black finish, the designer introduced a white accessory package—ceramics, sculptural objects, and layered textures that pop against the dark backdrop and keep the room feeling light and intentional.
