From a new subfloor, to the ceiling lighting this Arlington Virginia family room has been completely renovated. The custom cabinetry was designed and installed to fit around the left and the right of the fireplace. The fireplace mantel has a hidden door to the right to store firewood. The new glass tile on the rear wall of the cabinetry ties in with the light teal tones in the room as well as contrasts against the light cabinetry. The chrome grille used on the doors was backed by grey speaker fabric to allow the AV equipment to be hidden away while it still is able to breathe to prevent overheating. On the opposite side of the room we choose a mustard color chair to pull an alternate color to the room. This sitting area has a storage ottoman, and a buffet that adds additional storage.
